KHULNA, Aug 29, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested two people with 185 bottles of illegal drug syrup during a raid in the ShankarpurJamadarpara area of the district on Friday, said a RAB-6 press release today.

The arrested persons were identified as Md Mashiul Alam, 55, son of late TafsilUddin of ShankarpurJamadarpara, and Akhima Khatun, 43, daughter of Ajibor Rahman of the same area.

\According to RAB-6, a team from its CPC-3 Jashore camp conducted the raid in the area under Kotwali Model Police Station.

During the drive, the team recovered 105 bottles of Wincerex and 80 bottles of Eskuf syrup from their possession.

The recovered drugs were seized, and a case was filed against the two arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act with Kotwali Model Police Station.

The detainees and seized exhibits were later handed over to the police station concerned.
Major Md Fazle Rabbi Prince, company commander of RAB-6 CPC-3 Jashore camp, said the force's anti-drug drives to arrest accused, convicted and warrant-listed persons and recover illegal firearms would continue.

RAB drives against those involved in sensational crimes, including murder and rape, would also continue, he said.
