RAJSHAHI, Aug 24, 2026 (BSS)- Around 1,800 children were given education materials to make them interested in education as well as transforming them into worthy citizens.

These educational materials were distributed at a programme organised by World Vision Bangladesh's Rajshahi City Area Development Programme (ADP) at the City Church here today.
 
Each selected child was given an educational materials package. It contained one schoolbag, one pencil box, one box of colored pencils, one sharpener, two drawing notebooks, and one pencil.

A schoolbag is sometimes not just a means of carrying books and notebooks, but becomes a companion in carrying a child's dreams.

Small educational materials like colored pencils, notebooks, and pencils can create new interest in studies and open the door to creativity in a child's mind.

District Children's Affairs Officer Munjurum Kadir and Education Officer Robiul Islam were present at the event.

In addition, Senior Programme Officer of World Vision Bangladesh's Rajshahi Development Coordination Office Nilu Begum, Programme Officers Philip Arinda, Ripon Halder, Junior Programme Officer Sharmin Akter Suravi and Arjun Roy, along with other officials and staff were present.

Registered children and their guardians also participated in the event.
 
Speakers at the event said that making children school-oriented is not limited to just providing educational materials, an environment must also be ensured for their regular attendance at school, attentive studying, and participation in creative activities.

Educational materials, besides meeting children's educational needs, play a role in increasing interest in education and self-confidence.
 
The speakers also said that although items like a schoolbag or colored pencils bring joy to a child, their significance is much deeper.

These materials provide inspiration for them to move forward in their educational life and create the courage to dream about the future.
 
Through the event, a commitment was expressed to increase children's interest in education, ensure regular attendance at school, and support their creative development.
