NARSINGDI, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - A restaurant in Narsingdi Sadar upazila was fined Tk 50,000 for operating without required licences and maintaining an unsatisfactory kitchen environment.

A mobile court conducted the drive at Infinity Sky Lounge in the Basail area on Monday afternoon as part of the district administration's regular enforcement operations.

During the inspection, the restaurant was found to have no trade, dealing or premises licence. The kitchen was also found to be unhygienic.

A case was filed against the restaurant under relevant provisions of the Essential Commodities Control Act, 1956, and the Tk 50,000 fine was realized immediately.

Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the Narsingdi Deputy Commissioner's Office Naim Hasan Shuvo conducted the operation.
