RAJSHAHI, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - Two college students were killed in a road 
accident in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi today when their motorcycle was hit 
by a truck and they were subsequently crushed under the wheels of another 
vehicle.

The deceased were Ahsan Ahmed Hasib, 20, son of Abdul Hamid of Baliyaghata 
area in Godagari, and Sabbir Ahmed, 20, son of Enamul Haque of the same area. 
They were both first-year honours students of Chapainawabganj Government 
College.

According to police, Hasib and Sabbir were travelling by motorcycle on the 
Rajshahi-Chapainawabganj highway through the Kashimpur area around noon. When 
they reached Kashimpur Bend, a speeding truck coming from behind hit their 
motorcycle, causing them to fall onto the road, where they were crushed under 
the wheels of another vehicle. They died on the spot.
 
After receiving the information, police reached the spot and recovered the 
bodies.
