BHOLA, Aug 17, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard provided free medical treatment and essential medicines to local residents in Bhola on Monday as part of its ongoing humanitarian activities in coastal and riverine areas.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon disclosed the information in a press release sent to the media at 2 pm.
He said the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been conducting various humanitarian initiatives for the welfare of people living in coastal and riverside areas, including regular medical campaigns to provide free healthcare services.
As part of the initiative, a medical camp was held from 9 am to 1 pm at Bheduria Union Parishad under Sadar Police Station. The campaign was organized by Coast Guard Base Bhola.
A total of 296 people received free medical consultations and necessary medicines at the camp, the press release said.
Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon added that the Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such public welfare activities in the future.
