FENI, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a
Milad and Dua Mahfil in the district, the home district of its former
Chairperson and former Prime Minister late Begum Khaleda Zia, marking her
82nd birth anniversary.
The district BNP arranged the programme at the Central Boro Jame Mosque in
the town after Asr prayers today. District BNP Convener Sheikh Farid Bahar
presided over the event.
Among those present were District BNP Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal, Joint
Convener Prof MA Khalek, Feni Pourashava BNP Convener Delwar Hossain Babul,
Sadar Upazila BNP Member Secretary Aman Uddin Kaiser Sabbir, District Jubo
Dal Member Secretary Naim Ullah Chowdhury Barat, District Swechchhasebak Dal
General Secretary SM Kaiser Elin, District Chhatra Dal President Salauddin
Mamun, Organizing Secretary Zakir Hossain Riad Patowari and Joint General
Secretary Shawkat Ali Jewel Patowari.
The dua was conducted by Hafez Maulana Abdullah, Pesh Imam of the Central
Boro Jame Mosque. A large number of BNP leaders and activists from the
district, upazilas and municipality attended the programme.
Meanwhile, the Parshuram Upazila BNP organised another Milad and Dua Mahfil
at the Parshuram Central Jame Mosque after Asr prayers. BNP lawmaker from
Feni-1 constituency Rafiqul Alam Majnu attended the programme as the chief
guest.
BNP National Executive Committee Member Abu Taler, Upazila BNP Convener Abdul
Halim Manik and Member Secretary Ibrahim Khalil Moni, among others, were
present at the event.
District BNP Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal said Milad and Dua Mahfils were
also organised at the union level alongside district, upazila and municipal
programmes to mark Khaleda Zia's 82nd birth anniversary.
The participants prayed for the eternal peace and salvation of the departed
soul of the former prime minister.
