NARAYANGANJ, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - A man was killed after being hit by a motorcycle while crossing a road in Siddhirganj of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Azizul Haque, 85, son of late Hossain Ali Sheikh of Jalkuri Taltala area.

According to police, Haque had left his home in the morning and was crossing the road in the Jalkuri Taltala area when a motorcycle hit him. He sustained serious injuries in the accident.

Locals rescued him and initially took him to Narayanganj 300-Bed Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Siddhirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Emdadul Haque confirmed the accident and said necessary steps are being taken in accordance with the law.
