NILPHAMARI, July 23, 2026 (BSS) - Twin sisters Nityapriya Othoi Roy and Nityashree Tathoi Roy of Nilphamari have set a remarkable example by securing talent pool Scholarships in the Primary Scholarship Examination after studying together in the same school.
The sisters, who were born and raised together, attended Shahipara Government Primary School in the district town. They enrolled in the school in 2024 as fourth-grade students and achieved the prestigious talent pool Scholarship, bringing pride to their school, family, and the local community.
Nityapriya and Nityashree are the daughters of Probananda Roy Rakhal, a businessman, and Chandana Rani Roy, an assistant teacher at Haroa Government Primary School. The family resides in the Collegepara area near Koborsthan Mor in the town.
According to their parents and teachers, the sisters have consistently demonstrated discipline, dedication, and perseverance in their studies from an early age. In addition to academic excellence, they are actively involved in cultural activities and have won numerous awards in drawing and music competitions. Their success, they said, is the result of hard work, guidance from teachers, and continuous encouragement from their parents.
The sisters are currently studying in the sixth grade at Rabeya Balika Vidyaniketan in Nilphamari town. They aspire to become doctors in the future and serve the country and its people through their profession.
Speaking about their achievement, Nityapriya and Nityashree said, "This success has increased our sense of responsibility. We want to study with dedication, become doctors, and contribute to the welfare of the country as enlightened and responsible citizens."
Their mother, Chandana Rani Roy, expressed her joy, saying, "We are extremely happy with our daughters' achievement. Acting Head Teacher of Shahipara Government Primary School, Khairun Nesa, described the achievement as a matter of great pride for the institution.
