RANGPUR, July 23, 2026 (BSS) – Police has arrested two motorbike lifters and recovered two stolen motorcycles from Bairagiganj Bazar in Mithapukur upazila of the district. 

Following instructions from RpMP Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud, Tajhat thana police made the arrest and recovered the stolen motorcycles during a drive in Bairagiganj Bazar at around 10:45 pm on Wednesday. 
 
The arrestees are- Md Dulal, 40, son of Md Nurul Islam and Md Rakib Mia, son of Md Dulal Mia, both area residents of Makimpur village in Pirganj upazila of Rangpur district, police said. 
 
Legal action has been taken against the accused arrested persons by Tajhat police station. The arrested persons were produced before the court from where they were sent to jail this afternoon.
