RAJSHAHI, July 23, 2026 (BSS) – Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and Rajshahi Water and Sewerage Authority (RWASA) will work together to strengthen civic services and promote sustainable urban development.
The heads of the two institutions expressed their commitment when the newly appointed Managing Director (MD) of RWASA, Harun-or-Rashid, paid a courtesy call on RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton.
During the courtesy meeting, held today at the Administrator's office in Nagar Bhaban, the two sides held detailed discussions on the infrastructural development of Rajshahi metropolis, ensuring safe water supply, improving the quality of civic services, and enhancing coordination between the two institutions.
At the meeting, the RWASA MD praised various development initiatives undertaken by the RCC to build a clean, green, and well-planned Rajshahi metropolis. He also sought the RCC's overall cooperation in further improving the quality of RWASA's services.
RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman said their main goal is to deliver the best possible services to the doorsteps of the people. He said all relevant institutions must work in close coordination to ensure sustainable development and the civic welfare of Rajshahi.
He assured the RCC's full cooperation in implementing RWASA's development projects and service activities.
Among others present at the meeting were RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Special Metropolitan Magistrate Faysal Tareq, Superintending Engineers Khairul Baker and Ahmad Al Moin Parag, and Executive Engineers Mahmudur Rahman and Nilufer Yasmin.
