KHULNA, June 5, 2026 (BSS) – Khulna Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Miz Hoore Jannat paid a daylong visit to Terokhada Upazila on Thursday, providing directives to improve development activities, administrative efficiency and public service delivery.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner first inspected Terokhada Police Station and later attended a meeting with heads of various government offices at the Upazila Parishad hallroom.
At the meeting, she instructed officials to accelerate development activities, enhance administrative performance and ensure quality public services in line with citizens' expectations.
As part of the visit, she distributed dry food and other relief materials among distressed and underprivileged families affected by natural disasters under the allocation of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
The deputy commissioner also planted a sapling on the premises of the Upazila Land Office as part of environmental conservation and afforestation efforts.
While inspecting the land office, she directed officials to ensure transparent, harassment-free and prompt land-related services for citizens.
She also participated in several other programmes and reviewed various activities of the local administration during the daylong tour.
Among others, UNO Tahmina Sultana Nila, Assistant Commissioner (Land) S.M. Nurunnabi, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mojahidul Islam, Agriculture Officer Shiuli Majumdar, Senior Fisheries Officer Md Saiduzzaman and other government officials were present.
Officials concerned viewed the visit as a significant step towards strengthening administrative activities and improving public service delivery in the upazila.
