RAJSHAHI, March 28,2026 (BSS)- Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), said that the current government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has prioritized the development of religious institutions.

In line with the Prime Minister’s plan, all mosques, madrasas, temples, and other religious institutions under the jurisdiction of RCC will receive support for their development, renovation, and modernization. 

Riton made these remarks on Saturday during a courtesy visit by the leaders of the Mohammadpur Tikapara Jame Mosque Committee, who came to discuss the development of the mosque.
 
During the meeting, the RCC administrator assured full support for completing the unfinished work of Mohammadpur Tikapara Jame Mosque.
 
The meeting was attended by the committee’s president Imtiaz Ahmed Shamsul Huda Kislu, general secretary Shamsuddin Haider, vice president Riaz Ahmed Khan, and other leaders.
 
Also present were RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Secretary Sohel Rana, and Acting Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Moin, among others.
