CUMILLA, Mar 28, 2026 (BSS) - A man was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Homna upazila of the district early today. 

The deceased was identified as Kawsar Mia, son of late Hashem Mia, a resident of Daribhasania village of the upazila and was an electrician by profession.

Kausar Mia, along with friends, Rahmat Ullah and Abdullah, was returning home from Titas area of Muradnagar upazila on two separate motorcycles. 

The accident occurred around 2:00 am in the Sreepur Krishnapur area when the motorcycles collided head-on, leaving bike rider Kawsar dead on the spot and two others injured.

Injured Rahmat Ullah and Abdullah were taken to Homna Upazila Health Complex. Later they were referred to Dhaka for advanced medical care.

Homna Police Station Officer-in-Charge Morshedul Alam Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
