KISHOREGANJ, Feb 22, 2026 (BSS)- A preparatory meeting was held in the district today to ensure smooth arrangement of the 199th Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the historic Sholakia Eidgah Maidan.

The meeting took place this afternoon at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, with Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner and President of the Sholakia Eidgah Maidan Management Committee Mohammad Aslam Mollah in the chair.

Among others, Superintendent of Police Dr SM Farhad Hossain, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer and General Secretary of the management committee Md Kamrul Hasan Maruf were present at the meeting.

The meeting discussed security arrangements, traffic management, preparation of the Eidgah ground, entry and exit systems, medical support, and overall maintenance of discipline centering the Eid congregation.

The meeting also decided that the main congregation of the upcoming 199th Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at 10am. All concerned were instructed to complete the necessary preparations accordingly.

Officials of various government departments, representatives of law enforcement agencies, leaders of political parties, and members of civil society attended the meeting.
