RAJSHAHI, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) recovered 12 petrol bombs and 15 cocktails from Chhotobangram area under Chandrima Police Station in the city last night.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid at the area around 11.45 pm  last night and recovered the explosives.

RAB sources said the recovered items were seized in accordance with legal procedures in the presence of neutral witnesses. 

Subsequently, those were handed over to Chandrima Police Station for further legal action.

It is primarily suspected that these petrol bombs and cocktails were stockpiled with the intent to disrupt or assert dominance during the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum 2026.
