RAJSHAHI, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS)- Two people were killed and another injured when a sand-laden drum truck collided head-on with a human hauler (Nasimon) at Nimtala Bazar on the Puthia-Taherpur road under Puthia upazila of the district this morning.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Puthia Police Station Faridul Islam said the accident occurred around 8:00 am. One person died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries while being taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Both deceased were residents of the Lili Hall area in Rajshahi city, though their identities could not be confirmed immediately, the OC added.
Police said another person sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment.

Further legal action will be taken in this regards upon receiving the information, the OC said.
