Chattogram City, North, and South units today organised colorful rallies to
celebrate its 49th founding anniversary.
The City South unit held a rally from Agrabad to Dewanhat at 10 am.
Simultaneously, the Mahanagar North branch organised a rally from Chawkbazar
Wali Beg Khan Mosque intersection to Jamal Khan intersection in the city.
Maimunul Islam Mamun, president of the City South Chhatra Shibir, was the
chief guest at the southern branch rally while Shamsuzzaman Helali,
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami-nominated candidate for Chattogram-10
constituency, was present as special guest.
Former presidents of the organisation Kefayet Ullah, Md. Shahidul Islam, and
former Metropolitan Secretary Mohammad Iqbal were also present.
At the conclusion of the rally, speakers emphasized the importance of the
organisation's founding anniversary. Maimunul Islam Mamun paid tribute to the
four deceased leaders and activists of the organisation-- Imran Khan Rajib,
Abid Bin Islam, Sakibul Islam, and Faisal Ahmed Shanto.
Despite challenging circumstances, Mamun highlighted that the organization's
activities persist, with Chhatra Shibir focusing on the moral and ideological
development of students.
The speakers commended the organization's ideological initiatives and
encouraged students to engage in constructive activities for the betterment
of the country and its people.
Leaders, activists, and students from various levels of the organisation took
part in the rallies. Additionally, a vibrant rally was organised by the
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Chattogram Metropolitan South unit to mark
the founding anniversary.
Tanjir Hossain Jewel, president of Chhatra Shibir Metropolitan North and Dr.
AKM Fazlul Haque, the Bangladesh Jamaat-Islami-nominated candidate for
Chattogram-9 constituency, delivered speeches at the event.
