BHOLA, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate for Bhola-4 constituency (Char Fasson-Monpura) Nurul Islam Nayan today pledged to work for women's development and empowerment if elected.

He made the remarks while addressing a courtyard meeting at Abdullahpur in Char Fasson, according to a press release. Nayan said that Char Fasson would be transformed into a safe and peaceful area if he is elected to parliament.

He also warned that extortionists, land grabbers, oppressors, drug addicts and drug traffickers would not be given shelter under any circumstances. Calling for unity, he urged people from all walks of life in Char Fasson to remain united for the welfare of the area.

From early morning, hundreds of people gathered at the field adjacent to the Abdullahpur Union Parishad to attend the meeting. Men and women of all ages were present in large numbers.

Meanwhile, courtyard meetings are being held daily across all 21 unions of the Bhola-4 constituency in support of the BNP candidate contesting with the "Sheaf of Paddy" symbol, with special emphasis on engaging women voters.

Former president of Char Fasson Upazila Jubo Dal and election coordinator of Abdullahpur Union, Ashraful Rahman Dipu Faraji, along with party leaders and activists, has been actively campaigning in favour of Nurul Islam Nayan.
