Six-month training of ‘Swarshaili’ begins in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS) - The six-month training of the 45th batch of the ‘Swarshaili’ Recitation, Presentation and Debate Practice Center on correct pronunciation in standard Bengali began in the city on Friday.
Director of ‘Swarshaili’, eminent writer and educationist Professor Mohammad Shah Alam presided over the inaugural ceremony of the training programme at the Rangpur Knowledge Care Academy.
Writer, researcher, reciter  Anwarul Islam Raju, Professor Motahar Hossain Sujan, reciting artist, radio personality Jobayed Hossain Palash, organizer Nurul Amin Milan Sheikh, reciter Farhad Shah, radio news reader, teacher Abdus Salam attended the ceremony as guests of honor.
. The welcome speech was delivered by recitation instructor Md Majedul Islam. 
 Md Jahangir Alam recited from the Holy Quran.
 Among others, reciters Irene and Manisha spoke. 
 Poem recitations were performed by Golap, Tanisha and Aira. 
At the ceremony, former student Joy Lala was congratulated for achieving the honor of becoming the national champion in the Education Week this year. 
Professor Mohammad Shah Alam and discussants urged the participating youth to be attentive in recitation, presentation and debate practice. 
The training launch programme was conducted by recitation trainer Mehdi Masud. 
The six-month training will teach correct pronunciation, recitation, presentation, debate, phonetics and rhythm.
