CHATTOGRAM, Jan 14, 2026 (BSS) – Local administration today held a campaign meeting in Boalkhali upazila to promote awareness regarding the forthcoming referendum and to motivate citizens to participate in the voting process.

Organized by the Upazila Administration, the meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Mehedi Hasan Faruk. The event featured speeches from Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kaniz Fatema, Upazila Election Officer Tanushree Goswami, and Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Police Station Mahfuzur Rahman, among others.

During the meeting, campaign leaflets from the Election Commission were distributed among the Upazila Union Parishad Chairman, administrative officials, members, and village police personnel. 

In the afternoon, documentary films about the July Revolution were screened from the culture affairs ministry's voting vehicle.
