BAGERHAT, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 180 trained youths have 
participated in an entrepreneurship training and employment campaign in 
Bagerhat with the aim of creating job opportunities. 

The campaign was held at the Youth Development Center auditorium in Barakpur 
under Bagerhat sadar upazila this afternoon. 

BRAC Senior Programme Manager Md. Alamgir Hossain addressed the event as the 
chief guest with Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development Md. 
Abdul Kader in the chair.

The programme was attended, among others, by Assistant Director of the 
Department of Youth Development, Bagerhat SM Mizanur Rahman, Deputy 
Coordinator Dewan Mohammad Abu Zafar, BRAC Area Manager Syed Rafiqul Islam 
and its officials Elizabeth Marandi and Debashish Kumar Ghosh. 

Youth Development Center initiated the campaign by "SCB project" of the BRAC 
Education Programme (BRAC EDU Unit). 

Through this training, the participated youths learned various issues in 
different sectors including youth employment, self-employment, and 
entrepreneurship to become self-reliant.
