NATORE, Dec 28, 2025 (BSS) - The ‘Voter Gari’, a mobile campaign initiative aimed at raising public awareness ahead of the upcoming referendum and national elections, has arrived in Natore district.

Documentary film screenings through the ‘Voter Gari’ began on Saturday in the district under the theme of “The key to the country is in your hands” and will continue till Monday. The screenings feature a range of documentaries, including speeches by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, as well as films titled July Uprising, July Warrior, Abrar Fahad Murder, Felani Murder, Voting of Expatriates, and Reforms through Referendum.

The initiative is part of a nationwide journey launched by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs on December 22 with a fleet of 10 vehicles, collectively known as the ‘Super Caravan’.

As part of this campaign, exhibitions and film screenings were held on Sunday at Biprabelgharia and Madhnagar areas of Naldanga upazila in Natore. Despite severe cold weather, a large number of people gathered to watch the documentaries.

According to Rajshahi Divisional Monitoring Supervisor of ‘Voter Gari’, Md. Zahid Hasan, screenings were organized earlier in Gurudaspur and Baraigram upazilas and it concluded on Saturday. A screening is scheduled to be held in Singra upazila on Sunday afternoon, while further screenings will take place in Lalpur and Bagatipara upazilas on Monday.

Naldanga Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Al Emran Khan said the initiative aims to increase public awareness -- about the 13th National Parliament Election and the proposed referendum on the July Charter -- through documentary films.

Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen stated that the district administration is providing full support to the programme, adding that the screenings through ‘Voter Gari’ are being organized across upazilas to encourage informed public participation in the national elections and the referendum.
