DHAKA, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) - During the registration period for the 13th national elections and referendum using the ‘Postal Vote BD’ app till December 25, expatriate Bangladeshi voters, who are currently staying in the country, can register for vote by activating roaming service on their respective country’s mobile numbers.

Salim Ahmad Khan, team leader of the Out of Country Voting System and Implementation (OCV-SDI) project, confirmed it to BSS.

A total of 4,90,033 expatriate voters have already registered using the 'Postal Vote BD' app to cast their votes in the 13th parliamentary polls and referendum.

Along with Bangladeshis living abroad, the government employees to be engaged in election duties and residing outside their voting areas are also getting registered through the 'Postal Vote BD' app, according to a postal voting update published on the EC’s website as of 4:15 pm today.
