Training for Hajj pilgrims held in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Dec 18, 2025 (BSS) – Rangpur Gausia Hajj Tours and Travels today organized a day-long training programme for Hajj pilgrims at its office in the Pakarmatha area of the city.

About 100 male and female pilgrims from the district, who are scheduled to perform Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia next year, participated in the training.

President of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alhaj Md Emdadul Hossain Emdad attended the programme as the chief guest.

Alhaj Tanbir Hossain Ashrafi, General Secretary of Rangpur District Haji Kallyan Sangstha and a prominent businessman and social welfare activist, was present as the special guest.

Islamic scholars Moulana Md Atikul Haque Anas, Alhaj Md Wazed Ali Dulu, Alhaj Md Mizanur Rahman and Alhaj Moulana Md Anisul Haque, among others, addressed the training session.

Khadem-e-Hujjaj of Rangpur Gausia Hajj Tours and Travels Alhaj Md Ali Akbor Badol moderated the programme and delivered lectures on the Arkan and Ahkam of Hajj to ensure proper performance of the rituals in the holy sites of Makkah, Arafat and Mina.

The Islamic scholars also delivered lectures on Wudu (ablution), Tayammum (dry ablution), Arkan al-Hajj (pillars of Hajj), Ahkam al-Hajj (Islamic rulings of Hajj) and Umrah to guide pilgrims in performing Hajj in the prescribed manner.

They further explained the procedures for performing Ziayarat in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah Munawwarah and shared their personal experiences of performing Hajj and Ziayarat in recent years.

The training programme concluded with a special munajat in the afternoon.
