KHULNA, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) - A doa mahfil was held in Khulna on Sunday seeking the early recovery and good health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Dighalia Upazila BNP unit organised the doa mahfil at the Dighalia Union Parishad premises in Dighalia upazila of the district.

Central BNP Information Affairs Secretary and Khulna-4 candidate Azijul Bari Helal attended the doa mahfil as the chief guest.

Speaking as the chief guest at the doa mahfil, Helal said BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is widely respected across the country, beyond party affiliations.

He said the challenges faced by Khaleda Zia over the years had not diminished her public support. He added that prayers and messages wishing her recovery were coming from across the country and abroad.

Helal said people from Rupsha, Terokhada, Dighalia and other areas had been offering prayers since 24 November, expressing hope that she would recover soon.

The programme was presided over by Dighalia Upazila BNP President Molla Saifur Rahman Mintu and conducted by Rakib Mallik. District BNP Convenor Moniruzzaman Montu and other local leaders were present.
