RANGAMATI, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) - The Rangamati Army Headquarters Zone has distributed winter clothes to needy priests and servicemen as part of its ongoing Harmony and Development Project, aimed at supporting underprivileged communities in the hill district.
A total of 55 blankets were handed over on Tuesday morning at the regional office of the Hindu Religious Trust, located in the Assam Para slum area of the town.
Lieutenant Colonel Md. Ekramul Rahat, psc, Commander of the Rangamati Sadar Zone, attended the event as the chief guest.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Lt. Col. Rahat said the army continues to work for the welfare of all communities in the hilly region alongside performing its regular duties related to security and law enforcement.
He said that such social initiatives help strengthen mutual trust, relations, and communal harmony between the army and local residents.
