RANGAMATI, Nov 25, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has provided free medical services and medicines to residents of the remote border village of Thegamukh in Barkal upazila of the district.

The day-long medical camp, organized by the Chhoto Harina Zone of BGB on Tuesday morning, aimed to support underprivileged communities living in the hilly border region.

BGB Rangamati Sector Commander Colonel Ahsan Habib and Chhoto Harina Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Imrul Kayes Mehedi visited the camp and interacted with villagers receiving treatment. Local dignitaries were also present during the visit.

Medical services at the camp were conducted by Captain Md. Asifur Rahman, the medical officer of Chhoto Harina Zone, who provided consultations and distributed medicines.

Around 200 poor and vulnerable residents of Thegamukh village received free healthcare support through the initiative, officials said.
