DHAKA, July 8, 2026 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP)
has been recognised as one of Bangladesh's 25 most impactful institutions as
part of the silver jubilee celebrations of BRAC Bank, said a press release.
At a ceremony held in the capital recently, a total of 25 institutions were
honoured for their outstanding contributions to the country's development and
improving people's quality of life across various sectors, including
education, healthcare, social development, agriculture, technology, arts and
culture, and sports.
According to BRAC Bank, the award recipients were selected by an independent
jury panel through a rigorous, transparent and comprehensive evaluation
process.
The panel assessed the institutions based on their social and economic
impact, contribution to public welfare, institutional excellence and long-
term role in national development.
BKSP received the prestigious recognition in acknowledgement of its
longstanding contribution to sports development in Bangladesh through
nurturing internationally competitive athletes, providing modern sports
education and training, and helping the country achieve success in national
and international sporting arenas.
BRAC Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Tareq Refat Ullah
Khan handed over the commemorative award to BKSP Director General Brigadier
General Mohammad Saif Ullah at the ceremony.
Receiving the award, the BKSP Director General congratulated the chairman,
board of directors, management and all concerned of BRAC Bank on the occasion
of its silver jubilee. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the bank
for recognising BKSP's contribution to the development of sports in
Bangladesh through this prestigious honour.
Among others, BKSP Director (training) Colonel Md. Golam Mabud Hasan and
Irene Akter Riya, a trainee of the hockey department, were also present at
the ceremony.
