DHAKA, July 8, 2026 (BSS) - International Master Manon Reja Neer defeated Ukrainian Grandmaster Valeriy Neverov in the third-round encounter of the First Saturday Budapest Grandmasters Chess Tournament which is now being held in Budapest, Hungary.

In the third-round encounter, IM Neer, played with the white pieces, secured an impressive victory over the Ukrainian Grandmaster Valeriy. 

Earlier, he drew his first-round game against Ukrainian International Master Nataliya Buksa and his second-round game against Hungarian International Master Bence Pribelszky. 

At the end of the third round, IM Manon Reja Neer jointy lead the standings with IM Nataliya Buksa, having scored two points from three games.
