DHAKA, May 4, 2024 (BSS) - Bashundhara Kings maintained their winning run as they beat Abahani Limited Dhaka by 2-1 goals in the ABG Bangladesh Premier League football held at Bashundhara Kings Arena on Saturday.

In the day's match, forward Rakib Hossain gave Kings a deserving lead early in the 5th minute and Brazian midfielder Miguel Figueira dlubled the lead scorings the second goal in the 34th minute from a spot kick.

After the breather, Saint Vincent forward Cornelius Stewart pulled one back scoring a lone goal for Abahani in the 50th minute of the match.

With the day's win, table topper Bashundhara Kings raised their tally to 37 points from 14 matches while the popular sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited remained third position in the league table with their previous collection of 25 points playing the same number of matches.  

Earlier, in the first phase, Bashundhara Kings blanked Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.
