DHAKA, March 25, 2024 (BSS)-IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman finished 8th in the Hanoi Grandmaster-2 Chess held in Hanoi, Vietnam.

IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman earned 3.5 points out of nine games.

In the 9th or last round games held on Sunday last afternoon (local time), IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman lost to FM Vaz Ethan of India. 

GM Tran Tuan Minh of Vietnam emerged champion and IM Quizon Daniel became runner-up with six points.

The event was held in round robin league system and a total of ten players including three Grandmasters, three International Masters, three FIDE Masters and one Candidate Masters from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam participated in the meet.
