FM Neer shares second position

DHAKA, Dec 19, 2023 (BSS) - FM Manon Reja Neer shared the second position along with other two players with 4.5 after the sixth round games in boys under-18 age group of 25th Asian Youth Chess Championships which is now being held in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

WCM Warsia Khusbu bagged 3.5 points out of six games. CM Md. Azmaeen Pervez Sayor in boys U-16 Group, WFM Wadifa Ahmed in girls U-16 group, Tasfiqur Rahman in boys U-8 group and Warisa Haider Girls U-8 group collected three points each after the sixth round. Syed Ridwan in boys U-16 age group, Kazi Afsan Rawank Anan in boys U-14 group, Oitijja Barua in boys U-10 group and Muhtadi Tajwar Nasheed in U-10 age group scored 2.5 points each out of six games and Sidratul Muntaha scored two points from six games.


The sixth round matches were held on Monday last with FM Manon Reja Neer beat FM Plyasunov Daniil of Russia, Syed Ridwan beat Combs Noah of Guam, Sidratul Muntaha beat Yagshygeldiyeva Aisha of Turkmenistan, Kazi Afsan Rawnak Annan drew with Chen Yung Hao of Taipei.

 Md. Azmaeen Parvez Sayor lost to Tanikeyev Beknur of Kazakhstan, WCM Warsia Khusbu lost to WCM Treobrazhenskaya Diana, Tashfiqur Rahman lost to Beknazarov Rahim, WFM Wadifa Ahmed lost to Seyilhanova Gulmira of Turkmenistan, Muhtadi Tajwar Nasheed lost to Aaaradhya Suyog Bagul of Singapore, Warsia Haider lost to Munkh Ayalguu Dorjderem of Mongolia, Oitijja Barua lost to Poormosavi Seyed Kanan of Iran.
