LONDON, Feb 15, 2023 (BSS/AFP) - Championship leaders Burnley fell short

of a club record 11th successive league win, but did salvage a 1-1 draw at
home to Watford thanks to Michael Obafemi's equaliser deep into stoppage
time.

Joao Pedro gave the away side the lead after Clarets goalkeeper Arijanet
Muric made a mess clearing a long ball over the top.

Burnley's unbeaten home record this season looked to be coming to an end
until Obafemi scrambled in from close range from a 95th minute corner.

Vincent Kompany's men move eight points clear of Sheffield United at the top
of the table and 18 ahead of third-placed Middlesbrough with the top two
being automatically promoted to the Premier League.

The point is enough to edge Watford into the playoff places at Millwall's
expense after they were beaten 1-0 at Coventry.

Sunderland moved up to fifth thanks to a 3-0 win at QPR.

Luke O'Nien opened the scoring at Loftus Road after QPR 'keeper Seny Dieng
had fumbled Dan Ballard's header from a corner.

Anthony Patterson then produced a brilliant save from an Ilias Chair penalty
to preserve the Black Cats lead.

Jack Clarke made sure of the points with two more goals in the last 10
minutes.

Norwich are knocking on the door of the top six after coming from behind to
beat Hull 3-1.

Cardiff secured their first win since November thanks to two late goals from
Perry Ng and Callum Robinson to beat Birmingham 2-0 and pull three points
clear of the relegation zone.

Tyrese Fornah's 90th minute goal lifted Reading up to 13th with a 2-1 win
over Rotherham.
