DHAKA, Jan 31, 2023 (BSS)- Dhaka Twelve clinched title of the first-event Corporate Women's Kabaddi's League beating Techno Media by 23-22 points in the nerve-wrecking final held today (Tuesday) at National Kabaddi Stadium here.

The winners' led the first half by 14-12 points.

Besides, Narsingdi Legends finished at third position in the league.

Dhaka Twelve's Smrity Akhtar was adjudged the best player of the competition while Ratri emerged as the best raider of the league.

Bazlur Rahman named as the best coach while Techno Media's Rupali Akhtar named as the best catcher of the competition.

Deputy leader of the parliament and Awami League's presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury handed over the trophies to the champions and runners-up teams after the final match in the prize distribution ceremony, presided by Inspector General of Police and Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation's (BKF) president Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.

Youth and Sports Secretary Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed, BKF's general secretary and deputy inspector general of Police Habibur Rahman, among others, were present on the occasion.

Earlier, in the first qualifier, Dhaka Twelve defeated Narsingdi Legends by 26-23 points to reach the final while Techno Media secured the spot of final beating Narsingdi Legends by 24-18 points in the second qualifier.
