DHAKA, Sept 3, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 301 people in separate drives across several city areas on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in various crimes.

Of them, 63 were arrested in Tejgaon Division, 167 in Mirpur Division, 58 in Motijheel Division and 12 in Jatrabari Police Station area. The arrestees were sent to court, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, the DMP's City-Intelligence Analysis Division arrested a suspected drug dealer, Mintu, 29, with 7kg of cannabis during an operation in Ramna area based on a tip-off.

Police said the drives were conducted in crime-prone areas as part of regular efforts to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities in the capital.
