RAJSHAHI, Aug 28, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton and Director General (DG) of the Department of Livestock Services (DLS) Shahjaman Khan today inspected Shaheed Zia Shishu Park as part of initiatives to modernize and develop the park.

During the afternoon inspection, they visited different areas of the park and discussed various plans to make it more attractive, modern and child-friendly.

They emphasized creating a suitable environment that would provide children with entertainment while also contributing to their mental development and fostering creativity.

DLS Director (Planning) Dr Bazlur Rahman, Project Director Dr Sofiqur Rahman, DLS Rajshahi Divisional Director Dr Ananda Kumar Adhikari, RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, Superintending Engineers Khairul Baker and Ahmed Al Moin and other senior officials of the DLS and RCC were present during the inspection.

Earlier at 12:30 pm, the RCC administrator and DLS DG inspected a site in the Talaimari area of the city for the construction of a modern slaughterhouse.
