DHAKA, Aug 23, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 470 people and filed 40 cases during its regular anti-crime drives across the capital over the last 24 hours.

According to a press release, 21 people were arrested by Ramna Division, 38 by Lalbagh, 49 by Wari, 64 by Motijheel, 57 by Tejgaon, 137 by Mirpur, 45 by Gulshan, 58 by Uttara division and one by the Detective Branch (DB) of the DMP.

Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway.
