DHAKA, Aug 20, 2026 (BSS) - Attorney General Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal today extended congratulations and warmest wishes to newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

In a greetings message, the Attorney General said the election in the highest constitutional office is an important episode of its democratic and constitutional progress.

"I firmly believe that Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's long political experience, wisdom, prudence and patriotism will help him to perform the supreme duty of the President", he said in the message.

Barrister Kazal said, "it is our expectations that country's constitution, rule of law, democratic values, independence of judiciary and citizen's fundamental rights would be more strengthen and elevated under his vibrant leadership."

He also wished good health, long life and success of the newly elected President and expressed his commitment of providing sincere cooperation to the responsible role of the president for the welfare of the state.
