DHAKA, March 28, 2026 (BSS)- Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology  Fakir Mahbub Anam has expressed deep shock at the death of noted educationist Dilara Hafiz.

Dilara Hafiz, wife of Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Hafiz Uddin Ahmed died at Singapore this afternoon while undergoing treatment.

In message the minister said Dilara Hafiz made immense contributions to the country’s education sector as a dedicated educationist. Her life and contributions will remain as an inspiration for the nation.

Fakir Mahbub Anam prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. 

Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division Abdun Naser Khan also expressed profound shock at the death of Dilara Hafiz, a former Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and principal of the Eden College.
