DHAKA, March 23, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced two-day long programme marking the Independence and National Day.

According to the programme, the party will organize a discussion meeting at 3pm at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) on March 25, said a press release here today.

Jamaat Ameer and opposition leader of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shafiqur Rahman will attend the programme as the chief guest.

Besides this, the national flag will be hoisted at the Jamaat-e Islami central office on March 26. At the same time, discussion meeting and doa mahfil also will be held at all levels of the party.

As part of the state programme, party chief Dr Shafiqur Rahman will also pay tribute to the memory of the martyrs of the Independence War at the National Mausoleum in Savar in the morning on the day.
