Education institution heads to face MPO suspension for failing to submit broadsheet replies

DHAKA, Mar 15, 2026 (BSS)- Ministry of Education has said the MPO (Monthly Pay Order) of heads of educational institutions will be suspended or cancelled if they fail to send broadsheet replies of inspection and audit reports within the stipulated time.

The directive was issued today in an order signed by Assistant Secretary of the Internal Audit Wing of the Secondary and Higher Education Division Md. Selim Sikder.

In a letter sent to the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, the ministry noted that although the Directorate of Inspection and Audit (DIA) has been asked for submitting broadsheet replies after completing inspections of different educational institutions, the replies are often not received even after a long time.

Due to such delays, many teachers and employees retire or demise, making it difficult to resolve serious financial and administrative objections mentioned in the reports.

The order further said that any delay by institution heads in sending broadsheet replies will be considered negligence in performing their duties and responsibilities.

In this context, institution heads have been instructed to send all pending broadsheet replies directly to the Directorate of Inspection and Audit within the next 15 working days.

The order warned that if the replies are not submitted within the stipulated time, the MPO of the concerned institution head will be suspended or cancelled for disobeying government directives under the MPO Policy-2025.
