DHAKA, March 14, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 21 individuals involved in various criminal activities have been arrested in a day-long special operation conducted by Jatrabari Police Station in the Jatrabari area of Dhaka.

According to police sources, the special drive was carried out on Friday in different locations under the police station's jurisdiction, said a DMP press release.

During the operation, law enforcement personnel detained several suspects allegedly linked to different criminal offenses.

The arrested individuals are: Dalia Akhter alias Sharmin Sultana alias Shudha (32), Md. Hridoy Khandaker alias Arison Hridoy (25), Md. Rubel Hosel (28), Md. Russell (28), Md. Mehedi Hasan (24), Md. Raju Mia (28), Md. Rifat Hossain (22), Golam Mostafa (45), Abdur Rob (55), Md. Rafiq (53), Md. Raju (38), Md. Zahir (38), Farhad Hossain (40), Faizul Haque (38), Md. Gaffar (25), Md. Yasin (19), Md. Anwar Hossain (45), Md. Zafar (26), Parvez Bepari (24), Mamun (39) and Md. Omar Faruk (30).

Police said the arrested persons were involved in various criminal activities in the area. 

After completing the necessary legal procedures, they have been sent to the court. 

Officials from Jatrabari Police Station said that such special operations will continue in the coming days to maintain law and order and ensure public safety in the area.
