RANGPUR, Mar 13, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu MP has said that action will be taken against government officials and employees who do not come to work on time.
“The government officials and employees must come to their workplaces on time,” he said.
He said this to journalists after attending a view-exchange meeting with upazila-level officials and union parishad chairmen at the Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Parishad conference room in Lalmonirhat this afternoon, said a press release issued by the Rangpur Regional PID Office here.
Regarding the implementation of the election manifesto promises, the minister said that the people have sent the BNP to Parliament with a huge mandate by accepting the election manifesto.
“For this, the government has started implementing various plans including canal digging, family cards, farmer cards, agricultural loan waiver in the light of the 180-day priority programme to ensure people's rights,” he added.
The minister emphasized that the overall work to build an enlightened Lalmonirhat, including progress in drug control, eradication of online gambling and stopping social crimes, will continue.
Earlier, the minister visited Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital and directed the hospital authorities to maintain the cleanliness of the hospital.
Government officials, Upazila and Union Parishad chairmen and journalists were present at the event.
