DHAKA, March 11, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) has increased fuel supply to pumps in country’s all divisional cities to overcome the ongoing global crisis.
“From now on, the rate of reduction in octane and petrol supply to pumps in divisional cities has been brought down to 15 percent instead of 25 percent,” said a press release signed by BPC Secretary Shahina Sultana today.
It said the average sale of fuel oil (octane and petrol) in country’s divisional cities has been reduced to 15 percent instead of the 25 percent scheduled earlier.
“Besides, fuel will be supplied as per the allocated chart based on filling stations,” the BPC mentioned.
Meanwhile, the BPC authority also asked its all depot superintendents, sales officers, dealers and agents of the marketing companies to take necessary measures to ensure fuel supply in line with the reduced allocation, the release added.
The BPC companies are: Eastern Refinery Limited, Padma Oil Company Limited, Meghna Petroleum Limited, Jamuna Oil Company Limited, Eastern Lubricants Blenders PLC, LP Gas Limited, Standard Asiatic Oil Company Limited and Petroleum Transmission Company PLC.
