DHAKA, Dec 29, 2025 (BSS) - Md Aminul Islam Raju, an accused in the case
filed over the murder of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, has
confessed that he helped prime accused Foysal Karim Masud flee to
neighbouring India through the Haluaghat border in Mymensingh.

Revealing the matter before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate
Mohammad Ehsanul Haque, Investigating Officer (IO) of the Detective Branch
(DB) of Police Inspector Foysal Ahmed said Raju, during his five-day remand,
admitted helping Foysal and one of his accomplices escape to India.

The IO requested that Raju's statement be recorded under Section 164 of the
Code of Criminal Procedure. After recording the confessional statement, the
court sent Raju back to jail.

Md Aminul Islam Raju was arrested on December 24 from the Mirpur-11 area of
the capital. On the same day, Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad

following Hadi's death on December 18.
