JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit of Jatiya Chhatra Shakti today organised a doa mahfil at the university's Central Mosque, seeking the early recovery of Inqilab Manch spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.

The prayer programme was held after Asr prayers and was attended by students, leaders and activists of Chhatra Shakti. 

Special prayers were offered for the speedy recovery and complete healing of Osman Hadi, who was injured in a recent attack, as well as for an end to violence and terrorism and the establishment of justice.

Addressing the gathering, speakers said the attack on Osman Hadi, who played an active role in the July movement, was aimed at suppressing democratic movements. They demanded exemplary punishment of those responsible.

JU Chhatra Shakti President Zia Uddin Ayaan said Osman Hadi sustained critical injuries in the attack and expressed hope that he would soon recover and return to the people.

Among others, former convener of JU Bangladesh Democratic Students' Council Arifuzzaman Uzzal, central Chhatra Shakti senior vice-president Ahsan Labib, vice-president Nasim Al Tariq and JU unit organisational secretary Riazul Islam Riaz were also present at the event.
