DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) - On the occasion of Martyred Intellectuals Day, all types of vehicles are advised to avoid Mirpur Mazar Road (from Mazar Road Crossing to Mirpur No. 1 Crossing) on December 14. 

The restriction is to ensure smooth movement for the President, Chief Adviser, Chief Justice, government officials, diplomats, and organizational leaders visiting the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals Memorial, said a police press release today.

Alternative routes have been arranged via Rainkhola Crossing, Nawaberbagh Crossing, Technical Intersection, Ansar Camp, Bangla College, Diabari Crossing, and Gabtoli Embankment Road. 

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a statement signed by its Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali issued the instructions.

Residents and commuters are urged to follow the DMP guidelines.
