DHAKA, Dec 14, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka University (DU) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) paid tribute by placing wreaths and lighting candles at the 'Smriti Chirantan' memorial on the university campus in the early hours today marking Martyred Intellectuals' Day.

They paid homage at 12:00 midnight at the memorial adjacent to the VC Chattar, which bears the name plaques of teachers, students, officers and employees of the university who were martyred in the Great War of Liberation.

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Central General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir was present during the tribute.

DU unit of Chhatra Dal President Ganesh Chandra Ray Sahos, Senior Vice President Md Masum Billah, General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon, Senior Joint General Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Shawon, Organising Secretary Md Noor Alam Bhuiyan Iman, and Office Secretary Mallik Wasi Uddin Taami, among others, were present during the tribute.

Leaders and activists from the university committee and various hall units of Chhatra Dal also participated in the programme.
