DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - In a day-long special operation on Thursday, police arrested nine individuals involved in various criminal activities across the Mohammadpur area of the capital, police officer said.

Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said the operation was conducted on Wednesday, targeting both regular case accused and individuals with outstanding warrants. 

He said the arrestees have been identified as -  Nayan (30), Md Rabbi Hossain (28), Md Masum matabbor (46), Monglu (50), Md Shaheen (20), Md Rabiul Islam (28), Md Jamal (30), Rana alias Rahmat (20) and Md manic (23).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station Kazi Md Rafique Ahmed said that all the detainees were produced before the court after legal proceedings.

The OC said that special operations will continue to maintain law and order smoothly in the area.
