RANGPUR, Sept 1, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Organizing Secretary (Rangpur division) Principal Asadul Habib Dulu has said none of Sheikh Hasina's conspiracies could destroy the BNP because the leaders and activists of the party were united.
"On the contrary, the BNP has become well-organized. The prime minister of the fascist regime, Sheikh Hasina, out of political vendetta, imprisoned Begum Khaleda Zia in a false case. Through this, she conspired to destroy the BNP," he said.
Dulu said this while addressing a post-rally discussion as the chief guest at the Grand Hotel intersection in front of the District and Metropolitan BNP office in the city marking the party's 47th founding anniversary on Monday afternoon.
Ignoring the scorching heat, the Rangpur District and Metropolitan BNP jointly brought out the huge colorful rally on the streets on the occasion to the tune of the band party's drums and colorful decorations.
Originating from the party office at the Grand Hotel intersection in the city, the rally circled the main city streets and ended at the Grand Hotel intersection again.
Later, the discussion on the anniversary was held there with Convener of Rangpur Metropolitan BNP Shamsuzzaman Samu in the chair.
Convener of Rangpur district BNP Md Saiful Islam, its Member-secretary Md Anisur Rahman Laku, and Member-secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan BNP Advocate Mahfuz Un Nabi Don, also addressed the occasion.
In addition, the leaders of the district and metropolitan BNP's affiliated organizations spoke.
Principal Asadul Habib Dulu said Sheikh Hasina did not stop conspiring to destroy the BNP. She wanted to destroy the BNP in politics by convicting the national leader Tarique Rahman in a false case.
The fascist regime had been inhumanely torturing BNP leaders and activists for 17 long years.
"Today, after the fall of the Awami League's fascist government, we are celebrating the founding anniversary of the BNP in a free environment after 17 long years" he said.
He said, "Even though we are free, we have to be careful because a new conspiracy has started against the BNP. We have to stand united and stop that conspiracy."
The people of Bangladesh can protest against injustice. They know how to give blood, so BNP cannot be suppressed by conspiracy.
Principal Asadul Habib Dulu said that many are trying to sabotage the election by muddying the water. If BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman gives the order, the muddy water from Teknaf to Tentulia will be cleaned in five minutes.
"BNP leaders and activists have been burned in the struggle for a long time and have turned into pure gold to build a Bangladesh of equality, a Bangladesh of harmony, the establishment of the rule of law, prosperity and a safe Bangladesh," he said.
He said that during the War of Independence, the leader of a party fled to Pakistan. Their leader recently fled the country to India.
"And the history of the BNP is one of the War of Liberation, struggle, and nation-building. Begum Khaleda Zia served six years in prison at the age of 80. She did not flee the country. That's why we feel proud as BNP workers," Dulu said.
